This is one of my favourite van Gogh paintings. I love it for its striking colours and crazy perspective and of course its ever familiar subject matter; you should all know how much I love my bedroom and my afternoon nap. I think it must be one of Vincent’s most popular art works, he himself held it as one of his favourites too.

The National Gallery of Australia’s latest exhibition features works of modern art from Paris’ Musee d’Orsay and this is the children’s section in the exhibition. I love it! I love it!
