Well into Term 2 now and here’s what I’m making with my year 7s at the moment. BUGS! GIANT ones!! I found out that the Year 7s were currently studying Insects in their Science classes, so what a great opportunity to collaborate with the Science faculty.
They’re not quite finished yet, but you get the idea! We have dragonflies, butterflies, snails and spiders all slowly coming to life in the art room!!
This bee was the first one finished. I love how he has human-ish joggle eyes! hehe.
This butterfly still needs her wings. They are being beautifully painted with water colour paints as we speak.. stay tuned for all the finished bugs.
They look gr8! Cant wait to see the finished products 🙂
Those are wonderful! My 6th graders are currently creating under the sea paper mache animals.
thanks for send me the beuty of art , you inspire me with artworks well i wish you good luck keep in touch l’m so excited thanks.
They are very nice Adelle. What an interesting project for your students.
The bugs look great! I love seeing kids get the chance to do paper mache. It is an under-utilized, under-rated art form. So thanks for being an excellent teacher!
