Every Term 1, our school invites Grade 4 and 5 students from the local Primary Schools to visit our school for a ‘Taster Day’. It’s a great opportunity for the local kids to experience a day in the life of high school!
We were lucky enough to squeeze in our Taster day this year before we all went into lockdown!
I spent an afternoon down at my local park collecting around 100 sticks, as well as leaves, gum nuts, buds and lots of, as it happened, bugs! The kids then used wool, sequins, feathers and A LOT of hot glue to make their magical wands!
We also made some gorgeous crowns, and the kids’ ones turned out so much better than the example I made! Look at how gorgeous the colours and shapes are??
