lickable wall paper

Do you know what these paper fruit slices remind me of? Remember the lickable wallpaper on Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory? Oh how I dreamed of having that in my bedroom as a child. Actually, I still dream of it as an adult! I found a recipe on recipezaar which lists how to make it, although I think this recipe makes what’s more like ‘rollups’ – you know the plastic fruit you can buy in packets?

Another recipe suggests brushing cordial onto wallpaper and letting it dry for a day.. not sure how well that would work in reality! Surely some manufacturer could produce something of Willy Wonka’s standard! With the state the world is in at the moment, I think it’s definately something the world is lacking..
