The gingerbread house that ended up taking about 6 hours to construct never really eventuated into exactly what I wanted. I’ll be blunt – No matter what I did, I couldn’t get the roof to stay on! My explanation for this was the roof needed to be a lot thinner than the walls, hence less heavy, then perhaps the roof would have adhered to the four walls. Despite the structural issues and the realisation that I could never make it as an architect, the gingerbread itself tasted pretty good. It is now in a million pieces and looks something like this;
