Lucia sent me this picture today. Apparently, these concrete stump things are to stop people from parking on the foot path in Rio de Janeiro. Someone took it upon themselves to give the stumps a bit of character. Very cute.

love your Nonnos paintings such lovely bright colors – now I know where your artistic talents come from – and I would still have loved for you to be my art teacher at school after seeing the lesson on abstract art with brown paper and paint – lucky kids!!!
