As you may or may not know, I collect skirts. It started several years ago, and well, it hasn’t stopped. It has slowed however, due to the unchanging size of my cupboard- damnit! If you haven’t seen my skirt collection, have a look at my favourite skirts and my latest skirt purchases.
I don’t, however, have a skirt that is handmade by a young Melbourne designer. I met Belinda Crossley, the designer behind the Brkich label, at the Craft Hatch Market last Saturday. She produces short run hand screen printed fabrics which are then used to create her cool skirts and other clothing, accessories and unique objects.
Her skirts are super cool because they are a ‘one size fits most’ piece that wrap around and create lovely texture. PLUS, all the fabric is hand printed and the skirts are, of course, handmade by Belinda herself. How lovely.
Hope you enjoy my earrings Belinda.
