Well, I can’t believe I’m back home already from my trip to Far North Queensland. It certainly was far too short!
The weather wasn’t too kind to us as far as torrential rain goes, but we were blessed with one perfect beach day. The water is soooooo warm! I have never spent so much time around water in all my life! Being in water is just far more comfortable.
Now, you may or may not be aware that I can’t swim to save myself (sad, but true) but with a trip to the Great Barrier Reef, I couldn’t look out from the window of the boat like a loser now, could I?. So, I donned a life vest, floating noodle and any other floatation device I could find (I still looked like a loser!) and took the plunge. WOW. I felt like I was looking at a photograph! It was so beautiful to see all these amazing creatures in their natural habitat and not behind glass in the zoo. The picture above is one of a couple of the reefs I could see from the plane.. much drier.
As far as shopping goes, in Port Douglas, you can either buy a floral dress, a floral dress or a floral dress. I did, however, manage to find this beautiful travel bag by Catherine Manuell Designs in the Kuranda Rainforest Village. It’s so much fun to look at and it even has a handle to wheel it around the airport, which makes it even more fun! Although, I was wheeling it through the airport yesterday and it tipped over – right in front of two pilots. I managed to embarrass myself again! Oh dear.
Ola Adelle,
Welcome back!
I love the bag, it’s so charmming.
Love yr new bag….. I love the colours!
