Ok, so we all did this in primary school. The ol’ potato stamp and carrot prints, although I tried to choose some interesting vegetables. Today was my last lesson for the year with one of my favourite year 7 classes, so I thought we’d have some fun.
The original idea was to make some festive wrapping paper for gift wrapping or some Christmas cards. Not sure what I was expecting but needless to say, the kids had HEAPS of fun and that meant HEAPS of mess!
This activity lasted about 25 minutes before the kids ended up painting with their hands and the vegetables were almost unrecognisable!
Controlled chaos yes.. but on a Friday afternoon, who can be bothered? When you’ve got green corn floating in a pool of purple water, it’s time to pack up. So we went for a walk around the school and drew pictures of our favourite locations. Pretty mundane, but they didn’t seem to mind.
