Holiday project #1. Alas, with my holidays almost over, I’m afraid this was my one and only project. No matter, I’m pretty happy with this one!

It took two full days of work, but it’s finally done and I can’t wait to hop into my pjs tonight, pop on my new dressing gown and plonk myself on the couch!

Try to trace as accurately as possible and give an extra little bit to make room for error. (which I always make HEAPS of!)

I bought 1/2 metre of 8 different fabrics plus 4 metres of navy Husky fleece. (I didn’t use 4 metres in the end)

You can make the patches as big or as small as you like. Mine were about 20x20cm. (Give an extra bit for seam allowance)

Stitch them all together to make a piece big enough to cover each piece of the pattern.

Trim off the excess around your pattern. Leave a little extra overlap (just in case!)

Pin all your pieces together and then stitch. Cut out all your pieces again with the fleece and repeat the stitching. Insert your fleece lining and stitch along the seams to join the outside to the lining. Hem the length, collar and sleeve cuffs.

And guess what!? It’s reversible!
