The Northern suburbs are great places for op shops! There often seems to be less competition for those God sent bargains and the shops are always stocked up with so much stuff that you don’t know where to look first! I popped into Epic Treasure Trove in Reservoir today and was amazed at how well supplied they were! The front room is full of clothes, bags, jewlery, shoes and more clothes. The room out the back has books upon books upon more books, lots of them unmarked, which means you might end up scoring a decent book for 20c! Baskets abound, with kitchenware, lamps and bowls scattered all over the place!

You just need to look at their window display to see how much stock they actually have! It really is a tresaure trove! Visit them at Treasure Trove, 272 The Broadway, Reservoir 3073.

Trading Hours: Monday – Friday 9.30 – 4.30 Sat 9.30 – 12pm.

Treasure Trove is my favourite Op shop in the Northern Suburbs but there are so many more.

THIS OP SHOP HAS NOW CLOSED. Sorry.

Here is a list of a few more;

St Vincent de Paul
1 May Rd, Lalor

You’re always bound to find something cool at Vinnies. Not only do they stock clothes and homewares, they have furniture, including chairs, couches and tables as well!

Salvation Army
13 Mackey Street, Lalor, 3075

MS Society of Victoria
Shop 88c Station St, Fairfield

I found some great tops the last time I was at the MS Society Op shop. They also stock small appliances.

Epic Treasure Trove
357 High St, Preston

I haven’t been to this place, but if this Treasure Trove is anything like the one in Reservoir, then it’s a gem!

Brotherhood of St Laurence
88 Station St, Fairfield

This place is huge! It occupies the front half of St Pauls’s church and the last time I was there I walked out with about 5 items of clothing! This one is a must to check out but I think it’s only open on Saturdays.

THIS OP SHOP HAS NOW CLOSED. Sorry.

Here are a few more..

Christ Church Opportunity Shop
