Murano Glass Bead Necklace
I walked around the island of Murano for several hours if I recall correctly, searching for the perfect, most unique, most beautiful murano glass bead necklace. I never found one.
I did however, find the most perfect glass bead shop! For much less than the price of a stock standard, run-of-the-mill, already made necklace, I bought some of the most gorgeous individual beads.
Here’s what I came up with. What do you think?

Be careful when in Venice buying “Murano” glass beads. Many of the glass (and other) products sold there now come from China!! If it seems like a real bargain, it’s probably from China. You must ask where things are made. Don’t assume it’s made locally. Sadly, just like everywhere else in the world now-a-days.
Yes.. I did think about that.. They weren’t too cheap and the lady did say they were made locally.. whether she was being honest.. who knows!? Either way I can be sure I BOUGHT them in venice.. lol.
