Boring IKEA drawers

My work table was fast disappearing under all the bits and pieces I collect and work with. Trusty IKEA came to the rescue with this cute mini chest of drawers. The only problem was that it couldn’t look any more drab could it?

My new drawers

My new drawers

Even though this chest of drawers comes in a million pieces and took about an hour to assemble, it’s just what I needed and small enough to sit nicely on my work table! (and I secretly love the frustration and ultimate satisfaction of putting together IKEA products)

I bought some beautiful paper from Zetta Florence and decoupaged the front of the drawers. A matte coat of varnish added the finishing touch. Now all my useful junk is hidden away but still at my fingertips!
